What we collect

Emails you send us. If you email us, including a workshop ticket, we receive your email address, name and whatever you choose to include. We use this only to reply and, with your permission, to improve our guides.

The workshop ticket tool. The ticket on our contact page runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us or stored on our servers unless you choose to email it.

Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to keep the site secure and working. These logs are kept for a limited period and are not used to profile you.

Local storage. We store your cookie preference in your browser. See our Cookie Policy.

Legal basis

We process data on the basis of our legitimate interests in running a secure website and answering enquiries, or your consent where required.

Sharing

We don't sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site and email, under contract, or where the law requires it.

Retention

We keep correspondence for up to 24 months, then delete it unless an ongoing conversation needs it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your data, object to processing and request portability. Email us to exercise these rights. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
